Who knows...?

I recently learned a new saying in Mongolia that, if I translate it literally is, “Winter’s person’s one eye is blind”.

What do you think this means?

It could be totally unintelligible to us, with no possible point of reference, like them trying to figure out what we mean when we say "I'm pulling your leg." Or, if the words actually are related to the meaning, perhaps it means "When life is bleak, even the poor vision we have becomes more clouded." Hmmmm......... Maybe you're just using this like a Rorschach Test, to psychoanalyze us from our responses?!
